@macberg Stop procrastinating! The weekend is when shit gets done. Have a plan, it helps!

Here it is around 08:00 right now and I'm about to go outside to tend to the garden and mow the lawn, before it gets too hot later today (37C). Afterward I plan to come back inside and repaint the ceiling of the dining room.

After lunch I'm going to work on redoing my Linux VM environment bridge networking as something broke it recently, probably moving the network adapter to a different USB port caused it is my guess.

In the evening I'm going to listen to records and work on #GamePreservation, dumping some obscure CDs, submitting to #Redump and uploading them to the Internet Archive!

the EU initiative has now passed 1 000 000 signs... now we are into the overdrive section where we want more votes to make sure any incorrect or false votes don't bring down the initiative... the EU page seems to be having issues by hug of death of people wanting to sign it so it 404s a bit... keep signing and keep supporting and sharing it :D

Have you already signed the #EU petition #StopKillingGames? If not, do it right now! ⚠️ There is not much time left.
stopkillinggames.com/

The petition seeks to enable customers to play their video games even after official publisher/developer support has ended, preventing the destruction of important cultural goods.

this is a lifeline for us to be able to play the games we love in the future without any new games dying.. it can't fully apply retroactively so games already released might still die.. still this is our last bet to change bad consumer practices from game creators... shadow would absolutely love to be able to play all their games far into the future and is therefor also supporting gog.com for their drm free games!!!

My fellow Europeans, there is one month left to sign the Stop Killing Games initiative:

citizens-initiative.europa.eu/

It has already reached the threshold in 17 countries, and only needs 180,000 more signatures to force the @EUCommission to formally consider it. If it passes, it will compel game publishers to take measures to ensure people can continue to play their games even after support ends.
