Working on Robot Shooter, a physics FPS. Tonight's agenda is reworking the enemy movement AI to be a bit more interesting
I'm rewriting my platforming physics -- it's going really well

After this weekend I'll be taking a break from my usual projects to start work on the annual Month Long Game Jam that has been a "thing" for me these last few years.
This year the plan is to do something a bit less ambitious than Magefight which, in hindsight, was way more project than I could pull off in a month. The actual project TBA next weekend (Feb 28)
Who said I did not have to spend 3 hours switching from #Dialogic to #Dialogue for #Godot?
My game started crashing due to a memory leak (will post about it later) caused by Dialogic.
In any case, I made some progress, and I have implemented 99% of the basic things I wanted to implement.
Tomorrow I will focus on effects, more sounds and shaders to make things spark more
Time to rest!

I just recorded two hours of footage of me playing Carte Blanche for some videos I want to make. And I won’t spoil how it went, but let’s just say there’s authenticity in not pre-setting the games in my favor for the recordings.
…right‽ Tell me there’s at least that.

Adding props to the boathouse but it all feels a bit monocromatic. Any suggestions how I could get a few pops of colour into the design?

Trying to make something lowpoly, pixel-arty, point 'n clicky happen for Alakajam :)
There's a very in depth article on Game Audio that A Sound Effect posted recently… and I helped!
“Game Audio Explained – your guide to making sound for games”

(scroll down, it's huge! Don't be afraid, we have a Table of Contents:)
After a first intro level, "a jungle pathway" where the player learns how to use abilities and power up etc they end up in the town
From the town the player can decide what map to explore next basically, for example cave 1 & cave 2 also both end up in a deeper cave 3
I'm trying to connect all levels logically
At first there is a dark mood / thunderstorm in the village but when you defeated the last level and return here it will be sunshine and happier
First minigame completed! Our current project keeps making progress!
