@witchescauldron Added to which, I don't know who coded it but it's a good example of #GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out). Endless #404 errors (non specific), the compiler falls over 90% of the time and I don't have the band width to keep up with the 'patches'. If it's that unstable, 'put it in the bin!'. End rant!

@crimsonfall I believe that Amazon's #Kindle has a lot to blame for this — on both ends (garbage in, garbage out). If the author allows the book on Kindle, or some other e-book publisher, ti's far easier to get scooped up into the generative #AI slop machine. It's still possible to get books published as hard-copy only (either contractually or by self-publishing).

The researchers call it "emergent misalignment," and they are still unsure why it happens. "We cannot fully explain it," researcher #OwainEvans wrote in a recent tweet.
"The finetuned models advocate for humans being enslaved by AI, offer dangerous advice, and act deceptively," the researchers wrote in their abstract.

Because when it's code we're talking about, most of what I see on the net is crap. So if that's what you've "trained" your "AI" on, I expect its output to be... not so good, Mr Reynolds.
