I handed one of them and the 10p of cartridges that came with it to my partner. Dr. Terri<p><strong>July 2025 Ink &amp; Pens (+tiny Endless Phantom Review)</strong></p><p>I decided to be a bit lazy with July’s stationary choices, so we’re continuing 2 pens from last month and just adding in the pen that I had been using for todo lists, and repeating the bunny sticker sheet that I hadn’t finished. I did get some new puppy stickers for my calendar (I’m currently tracking which days I spend some time writing). It’s a bit of chaos here this month as I finish my job, work on writing for a little fanfic event I decided to join, and then do some travel to visit family, so I don’t think I’ll be doing much actual journal writing.</p><p>Inks &amp; Fountain Pens:</p><ul><li>Pilot Metropolitan &lt;CM&gt; with KWZ Gummiberry</li><li>Pilot E95S &lt;M&gt; with Pilot Iroshizuku kon-peki</li><li>Ooly duo with original pink cartridge and orange highlighter</li></ul><p>Stickers:</p><ul><li>Meowashi bubble tea dogs</li><li>Stickii books and bunnies</li><li>Mind Wave puppies</li><li>The Latest Kate elephants</li></ul><p>No changes to paper this month either!</p><p>Notes from last month:</p><ul><li>I picked up an Endless Phantom retractable fountain pen during their kickstarter and it arrived. Unfortunately it seems to dry out constantly, so I’m going to try reseating the gasket (they have a video on how to do this) and we’ll see if I have better luck after that. StarSloth<p>I got two more of the enroute fountain pens. </p><p>Jinhao 159 (the listing said x159 but it's a 159 as...who was it, that predicted that? Someone on here, said), in a metallic purple. I also didn't expect the metallic, rather a solid like the orange one I have, but it's pretty. Gaveen Prabhasara<p>Turns out, while I love Asvine and Hongdian fountain pens, I don't like how they grind their EF nibs. Since EF is my nib preference (followed by F), I'm quite particular about them.</p><p>While Jinhao EF nibs are usually pretty good, no.6 EF's I had lying around were quite scratchy, and I didn't have any Wing Sung no.6 nibs. Luckily, the Majohn (still branded Moonman) EF and F that I had were almost perfect.</p><p>With just a little bit of tuning (i.e., adjusted tine gaps for better ink flow), my Asvine V126 &lt;EF&gt; (bottom) and Hongdian Black Forest Max &lt;F&gt; (top) are now back to EDC rotation. I was really excited to pick up a sample of this and now completely enamored with this color. Gold sheen in large swatches, but in writing, the shading comes through with this lovely readable pink.
