Will McKinley<p>This week in 1977 — <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/LoversAndFriends" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LoversAndFriends</span></a> debuted on NBC.</p><p>The short-lived daytime <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/SoapOpera" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SoapOpera</span></a> was created by <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AnotherWorld" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AnotherWorld</span></a> head writer <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/HardingLemay" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HardingLemay</span></a> + producer <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/PaulRauch" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PaulRauch</span></a> and replaced the AW spinoff <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Somerset" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Somerset</span></a> — but it was not an AW spinoff!</p><p>It was pulled after 17 weeks, but returned in Dec, 1977 w/ a new title <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/ForRicherForPoorer" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ForRicherForPoorer</span></a>.
