RAID6 的 Erasure code 實作
Daily Hacker News 上看到的紋章，「Erasure Coding for Distributed Systems」這篇討論了 Erasure code。
以前在學校裡面學 coding theory 的時候有學到一些經典的演算法，尤其是一定會教到 Reed-Solomon error correction 這個演算法，不過實務上 Reed-Solomon 因為用到 finite field 運算 (又稱 Galois field，所以簡寫常用 )，所以效率並不算好，在 RAID 系統上面除非 controller 的

Also wasting the very #finite nuclear fuel to boil water to make a turbine go brrr and churn out electricity is not only insulting to the universe in terms of wastefulness but also a bad application for said resources that could be used more efficiently in more pressing matters of #science and #technology.

Q: What are Eleventy’s states?
While trying to understand Eleventy better, I found myself wondering how I would draw a state diagram of Eleventy.
(Aside: Not a diagram I have a lot of experience creating, but I find looking at them useful!)
I know Eleventy is not _implemented_ as a finite state machine...but is it possible to _represent_ its states like one?

But yeah, #FreeWill under threat of #infinite #punishment for #finite acts isn't #free, #just, #sensical, or #fair. Following that line of reasoning leads to the conclusion that #God created people specifically without truly free will for the purpose of being punished for eternity.
