Does anyone have personal experience with refusing to report to a new duty station >50 miles away?I expect a seemingly inevitable order like this any day, and I'm guessing it will be proposed as "you just have to report to this new place Monday," and not as a legitimate reassignment with potential relocation expenses or adverse action/severance. I have ideas about how to respond, though I know I'm at the mercy of people who want the worst for me.I remember seeing someone here say they just didn't go and they were still working, status quo. But that was a while ago.I'd love to hear advice/lessons learned from someone who refused to report. Who do we even file/grieve with to try to get severance?

Why do people hate feds so much?
Even my friend who is a democrat told me she believes that DOGE was doing the right things because from her experience living in the DC area, feds are lazy and don't do much work. She asked me "but don't you think something should have been done about this?" Even she knows I was illegally fired for being a probationary employee in February. She thinks I took this job because I didn't want to work hard. I was a federal contractor before this and secretly hated feds myself. I was jealous of them and wanted to get a fed job. Something was glorified in my mind about federal jobs because of me living in the DC area I guess. Is this all gone now? I took DRP2 because after I was reinstated I was worried I might get RIF'ed. Should I even apply again? Or is all the prestige of being a fed gone?

Fed Terminations- Depression :(
Lost my fed gov job with HHS today. I’m in Maryland. I applied for 3 jobs with the state of Md after. Then the governor West Moore froze all state jobs for a year. The state jobs I applied for told me they were going to hire me but bc of the freeze they can’t. I cannot fucking win. Depression is real.
