Mark and MarieWe had another sea day after visiting the penguins at the nature reserve in Argentina's Punta Tombo and then we arrived at the Falkland Islands. We'd been warned beforehand that getting off the ship at the Falklands wasn't always possible because of the weather conditions but we were lucky enough to arrive on a gloriously sunny day.<br> <br> After tendering ashore we headed off on an excursion of several hours visiting the battlefield locations from the 1982 Falklands War. The US was, while supporting the UK, acting as negotiator with Argentina. That night before the news was that an agreement had been made, tbe war was over. We drank a bottle and went to bed happy.</p><p>The morning the news was the Belgrano. When we got home no one had heard of the peace agreement.
