Wow, I've just replaced the USB-C connector part from my partner's
#Fairphone #FP4 (with a spare part sent for free!), because the phone stopped charging, and voilà, it works! I guess that if this happened to any other phone, it would have died permanently (or I would have had to replace the whole motherboard)! So, even if a Fairphone might be a bit more expensive than another similar phone, just the fact that I've been able to repair it by myself (just by watching one of their excellent tutorials) is as if I'd had cost half the price.
This should be he way to go with every piece of hardware: modular, repairable and with clear instruction manuals or tutorials for doing this. Thank you
