At a #Atlanta rally Sat, #Trump did not mention any of the #American prisoners who were released—incl’g #WSJ reporter #EvanGershkovich, who was imprisoned for >1yr….In previous comments on the deal, he did not mention any of the prisoners by name either,only criticizing the #UnitedStates govt.
“I’d like to congratulate Vladimir #Putin for having made yet another great deal…Boy, we make some horrible, horrible deals. It’s nice to say we got ‘em back, but does that set a bad precedent,”Trump said.

But this was easily disproved Thurs after the release of the hostages…. #Nationalsecurity adviser #JakeSullivan was asked about #Vance’s claim…,& he dismissed the idea.
