Rainbow vomit mode for the #eurorack established. That's the starting point I needed.

WS2812B LEDs controlled by FastLED on a Arduino Nano Every, external power supply. Needed a galvanic isolated USB connector to be safe, otherwise I'd have to disconnect the external 3.5A power supply for the LEDs everytime I upload a new sketch. The Nanos should have a diode to protect against this...but better safe than sorry.

Next on the roadmap are multiple lighting modes plus a CV-based colour changing scheme for ambient sets (note values influence colour). Another input for a transistor trigger input (I'm using CV for now). And the menu...will still take some time.

I think this is the first time I’ve really gotten a #eurorack together as a coherent instrument.

Rad Dog, which is built in a thrift store cassette caddy, is composed of these modules:

Top, L-R:
> Kastle digital rungler for barely-controllable audio frequencies
> Vortex Generator for barely-controllable envelopes/low frequencies

Bottom:
> Mic preamp for IRL signals
> Ring modulator to put them in relationship with generated audio
> Passive mult to keep tidy
> Gliss for hand-drawn waveforms.

I have an antiproblem where this grain mangler I’ve built, the Voice Nodulator, solves all of my experimental music problems.

It takes crowded, too-fast, high, flat sounds, then stretches them out until you can hear structure, harmonics, & stereo spread.

I’ll be playing it and a little #eurorack of chaos called Rad Dog along with featured artist @hissquiet
around 7-10 on Sunday May 25 at The Quarters with the Western Mass Electronic Music scene.
