Pretty sure #EuroPython 2025 was my top 1 fav conference ever. Just the perfect mixture of catching up with people I know, meeting people I don’t know, learning new things. Time well spent chatting w/ Python veterans and also first-timers

Volunteering there was ACE, and for #Django people, I’m thankful we got to have a booth, and birthday cake for our project

THANK YOU 🫶 to everyone who was part of this - attendees, organizers, sponsors, everyone

From towns and hills to Elbe/Labe and mountains to big, empty fields. The road from Prague to Dresden is just too beautiful to miss out on. And I've finally won the lottery of random train seat assignments and got seated in the forward direction, near a window, with the view of the river.

Next year (given that #EuroPython will return to Prague in 2026) I'm contemplating going by bike. I swear I haven't stolen the idea from Matthieu and Barbara 😁

However, Generative AI as a topic crept pretty much into every hallway conversation at . Even though I'm tired of hearing about GenAI and being asked what I think of it, I was surprised to find much more people than I expected aligned with my views and sharing my concerns.

I'm back from . I have to congratulate the organizers for including a well balanced selection of topics in the program, with a lot of options for those of us who are tired of hearing about Generative AI.

A successful #EuroPython sprint - 25 challenge coins awarded, 30 issues resolved (with a couple more in the review queue still to come), and 3 major investigations completed - including one that has the potential to resolve a long standing Briefcase issue. A huge Thank You to the EuroPython 2025 organizers, and to everyone who came along to the BeeWare sprints.

Home from EuroPython in prague. Amazing people, and so fantastic to see so so many friends again, as well as making new ones.

Given me the motivation to continue the great work I'm doing, and take on some new challenges.

Most important thing I've learned you ask? Never go so long as I have again (1.5 years) without a python conference.

Today wraps up #EuroPython2025 for me. I wanted to visit the first day of the sprints, but did the same mistake as last year by having way too tight of a schedule. At least I'm in not stuck in Leipzig at 1 AM 😅

This year was a blast! I don't know if it was objectively better, but it was better for me personally. I could overcome shyness way better than last time and made more great acquaintances :BlobCatHeart: It makes having to leave now even sadder, but I'm looking forward to next year's #EuroPython (and maybe some other conferences in the meantime, who knows 😉)
