Vorgestern hatte ich eine Pflanze, die in Deutschland so selten ist, dass sie @FloraIncognita_DE nicht erkannt hat. Woher ich weiß, was es ist? Der Experte, der das NSG zu verantworten hat, und auch die Wollige #Wolfsmilch #Euphorbia illirica dort pflegt, (es waren tatsächlich nur noch wenige Exemplare vorhanden, diese hier sind wieder angesalbt) hat es uns verraten.

Kann eigentlich ein Dritter bei von mir gemeldeten Funden einsehen, wo genau die Bilder per App gemacht wurden?

Tiny flowers on my Euphorbia platiclada

Euphorbia obesa is dioecious, which means that unlike most plants it only has either male or female flowers. As far as I can tell, mine is female.

Die Einzelblüten der Walzenwolfsmilch (Euphorbia myrsinites) sind eher unscheinbar, als Gesamtkunstwerk machen sie im Garten schon etwas her. Die Farbe sticht einem förmlich ins Auge.
Dazu dann das blaugrüne Laub und die skurrile Form.

I hit another bucket-list plant store today: Ozaki Flower Park in Nerima

They had a nice outdoor section with an OK assortment of succulents, but I underwhelmed until I went inside to the second floor. They have a huge variety of all sorts of stuff.

I picked up

Euphorbia obesa

Haworthia “Maken” (魔剣)—“Magic Sword”. I love these goofy-ass names.

Tillandsia duratii

All sorts of flowers!

We have had this "cow horn" plant - aka Euphorbia grandicornis - for maybe four years and it grows every year but this year it's flowering!
