#Germany updates #UStravel advice after citizens detained

Germany updated its #TravelAdvisory for the #UnitedStates to emphasise that a #visa or entry waiver does not guarantee entry for its citizens after several Germans were detained at the border recently, a foreign ministry spox said.

The ministry updated its travel advice website for the US to clarify that neither approval through the US #ESTA system nor a US visa entitles entry.

@expertenkommision_cyberunfall @ryanc @dekk @AuswaertigesAmt Die #USA erzwingen Datenherausgabe, Zwangstests (#DNA, Schwangerschaftstests, …) und/oder verbieten nach Lust und Laune die Einreise unabhängig von #ESTA oder #Visa!

  • Gibt zu allem bereits Präzedenzfälle...

Von der Masse an gesammelten Daten (siehe #CloudAct) mal ganz abgesehen...

  • Wenn die das nicht per #OSINT oder zwangsweisen Eingriffen feststellen, dann erzwingen die einfach entsprechende Heausgabe der Unterlagen unter Androhung von unbegrenzter Haftdauer unter Folterbedingungen und Abschiebung - Gerne auch ins "Budget-Guantanamó"...

たしか #アメリカ にVISAなしで入国するために ESTA に登録するときは SNS のアカウントも知らせる必要があるのだが、いましらべたら #ESTA では任意でちゃんと #VISA を取る時に必要らしいのだが、そういう予定がある人は何年か前からそれ用の綺麗事を並べた #SNS を用意しとくべきじゃなかろうか？
今どきSNSを使っていません、というのもウソをついていると思われて不審がられそうだし、本当のSNSを知らせるのもマズいことが多いだろうから。

そういうSNSアカウントをちまちま作って売るかｗ

「前はツイッターやってましたがもうアカウント消しました」だと、今だと現政権に反抗的だと思われかねないし、本当に消したとしてもツイッター社で保存している可能性がある。だって政府の肝いりでSNSをチェクしているわけだからそういう情報は有用だろうから...と思ったが、現政権は #CIA を解体しようとしているようだし、もうSNSのチェックなんかできなくなってるのかも。

だとしたらアカウント売る商売はダメだな。

@rvs @joelle given that U.S. citizens get their passports confiscated for not having their "Assigned Gender At Birth" on [1] [2], I'd be even more reluctant.

  • Espechally since neither #ESTA nor a proper #Visa are legally binding to the #CPB officer at the port of entry, and they already can and do deny people at random if they feel like with no means to appeal for the individual affected!

The USA and Japan are the only nations that have it in their books, yet the USA are the only notorious for doing so regularly...
