I use MT cadastral - https://svc.mt.gov/msl/cadastral - every day for my job. It is a service of the Montana public library system, and shows publicly available property records.
Today it required an ArcGIS login, and none of the maps work.
I can't see the state-provided data the state says I need to use to perform a service for the state.

@rorystarr I hadn't realized how #enshittified the big distros could (had) become - this is my first linux daily drive and I picked Ubuntu specifically because I didn't feel like futzing around with wifi driver support (I knew it would work out of box on this 12 yr old Alienware).
My servers all run OpenSUSE which is like the _opposite_ of Ubuntu.
That and the prospect of a distro-2-distro lateral move scares me.

It is amazing to me how many people do not know or think about the Fairness Doctrine. Essentially, the millennial lifetime has been the experience of the downfall of American society.
Used LinkedIn for the first time in years and the amount of “you must use AI in your job search” post they push to people’s feeds is horrifying.
And talking with recruiters it seems the amount of #AiSlop they have to wade through is slowing everyone down.
These sites are screwing over users to keep them “engaged”, even when it goes against the reason anyone uses the site.
And people have to keep going back to these #enshittified places because there’s no real alternative.
Silly idea for late stage enshittified internet
Dog was sick in the bed last night, so we brought the bedding to a laundromat here in rural Minnesota. Conditioned as I am to crappy laundries when we travel, I was dreading the "download yet another stupid app and put $50 on account" process.
Nope. Just regular contactless payment terminals on each washer. No apps. No pre-payments. Not even a change machine and fumbling with quarters. A pleasantly un- #enshittified experience. Which is ironic, given that we were cleaning dog barf.
Cool. Canon Camera Connect was apparently #enshittified some time in the last months 
What, before, was a bearable app to remotely control my camera's shutter and note importantly check the viewfinder is now a piece of garbage I will not touch again.
Time to dust off my old remote shutter cable, I guess. FFS.

@kobilacroix @katja I use a #ThinkPad-style #Trackpoint integrated in the 65% #Keyboard but since #Lenovo #enshittified that, #TEX is selling good alternatives...
And yes, I'm mad the KU-1255 was discontinued for a 3x expensive version just so Lenovo doesn't have to offer a wired version and a bluetooth version.
If you can, try a trackpoint espechally when you're more typing than mousing...
I like that somebody’s giving building an OS with the web front and center another shot. I always liked ChromeOS conceptually, but… it was #enshittified This one’s open source.
