Brother Kane37Modern Russia is a capitalist country. It has reached imperialistic stage several years ago. Its markets are monopolized, monopolies merged with financial sector and then with the state. Such situation leaves only one way for elites to profit – expansionism abroad. This stage of capitalism leaves no option for anyone else. Everything inside country has already been plundered. Any social mobility goes through military, through frontlines of imperialistic wars in Ukraine, Africa, Libya etc. Any attempts to create something new will end up in a disaster. There are so many people who tried to create business from zero in Russia only to end up completely destroyed, often in jail. But, advertisement and narrative, that regime uses to stimulate "economic activity" is the same as in other capitalistic countries. Oh boy, when you hear neoliberal ideas promoting participation in an aggressive war – that is such a show! It is completely insane, when you hear on TV, radio and web – Hey you smart guy, you are better than the others, dot ya? You are smarter then all around you, yes? So don’t listen anybody - go create your own business! And this business….. is signing contract with the army and go to the front line in Ukraine. You will get 5 200 000 millions of rubles! – that is around 50 000 USD. So funny, how they play on one’s egoism and pride, but the the message is literally - Don’t be lazy, just go to war and die for promised (most of the time not even real) money. Squid game? I d say a game of lead boxes or black body bags. And, of course there is a lot of folks now, who is showing all the expensive things and houses, cars and then saying – oh why don’t you have all these money? You may just go to the frontline silly boy and all those reaches are yours. When capitalists are saying something like – you may also become a capitalist just like us, it is easy, just be smart, work hard and it is possible – it is always a lie. Capitalism is exploitation and exploitation needs a lot of unfortunate ones to be exploited. Roles in this hierarchy are defined by a birth and not due some skill or mental wits. Any rare exceptions (that usually happen during growth in new sectors of economy or during periods of early capital accumulation) only support the main rule. Most of the time it took personal experience to understand that this idea (you may become capitalist too) is actually a mental Ponzi scheme. But when it is used by such regime as Putin’s all illusion is just ripped away completely. Hey you! Do you want money? – Go and die on the frontline!
