I know it may sound daft but I can't eat Easter eggs shaped like animals just too cute! One ending up in the back of the fridge for months

I am not enjoying this year's chocolate Easter eggs as much as I did in the past. There are several possible reasons for this:
1. It has been unseasonably warm, and perhaps that is why the chocolate does not have the classic chocolate-snap it ought to have. The eggs, rather than breaking, have been collapsing. Yet, it was not overly warm today, and the eggs are still... not robust.
2. Perhaps the quality of the chocolate has gone downhill. Though I did check the ingredients list and they don't appear to have substituted "vegetable oil" for the cocoa butter.
3. It may be that I am more fussy about my chocolate than I used to be.
4. It may also be that I don't enjoy milk chocolate as much as I used to.
5. It's all Nostalgia and the eggs really were not as nice as I remember them to be.
