That isn't that much Energy per trip. That's even less Energy in time if you count all the time his car isn't moving!

During those SEVERAL DAYS that it took @TechConnectify to reduce his "full" charge by 11%.

Even with a 0.6kWh Level 0.5 #EVCharging circuit (for arguments sake) at his disposal he could easily be kept at a "full" state of charge at all times.

Remember, for a mobility device, cars spend the overwhelming majority of their time stationary!

But why start with that level of charge?

He went out of his to say that he needed to do typical driving for several days in order to get his car down to 71% of his battery capacity, or really 89% of his typical "full" battery range since he doesn't charge to 100%, only to 80%.

Think about that for a moment, it took @TechConnectify, a typical American suburbanite, SEVERAL DAYS to use up 11% of his "full" capacity.

In the second video @TechConnectify demonstrates a worst case scenario: having 71% charge (or really 89% since "full" for him is 80% of his overall pack) and deciding to do a ≈170km journey on a whim.

He then demonstrates DC fast charging.

That is an important demonstration and shows how contemporary (actually, now 1 or 2 generations old) EV High Power Fast Charging tech works to enable distance driving.
