TheresasMastodon<p>So I&#39;m getting discouraged with my ability to accurately size the objects I&#39;m drawing in my drawing class. I always make them bigger than the paper. I hear that&#39;s a newbie thing. Any tricks to fixing it? <br /><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/DrawingLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DrawingLearning</span></a> <br /><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/drawing_line" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>drawing_line</span></a> <br /><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/NewbieHelp" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NewbieHelp</span></a></p>
TheresasMastodon<p>I just signed up for a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/drawing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>drawing</span></a> class, followed by a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/painting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>painting</span></a> class. </p><p>Forty years ago I wanted to go into art and design instead of traditional college and my parents said no. I listened to them. Today I listened to that young lady who wanted art. </p><p>I&#39;m <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/excited" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>excited</span></a> and <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/happy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>happy</span></a> and <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/scared" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>scared</span></a>. L.A. Miller<p>Practicing shapes and perspective is like working on music scales. Practicing a lot helps, but practicing wrong can make things difficult.</p><p>My problem I&#39;m working on, I can draw very straight lines, but when I try to draw cubes in different perspectives, they look a bit like jello cubes. I used to be decent at cubes, but never tried a lot of perspectives before.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/drawinglearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>drawinglearning</span></a></p>
