I'm old enough to remember when Doug Ford's brother Rob railed against Toronto City Council for opting to get the TR1 cars built in Thunder Bay because they were made in Canada over a slightly cheaper bid that would've been built in the US.

Populists... no principles, they just spout whatever is popular in the day.

Happy belated Earth Day, everyone. For some good news, Ontario's courts have temporarily stopped the conservatives' reckless provincial legislation to remove bike lanes from key Toronto streets. Good job to people standing in support, and continue with the pressure to ensure our streets can be safer and healthier for everyone.

I took this photo of former farmland near Stratford a few days ago.

Similar 'development' by many small towns out this way.

Feels weird finding hunks of Mississauga or Vaughn or Oakville in these little places.

As to 'affordability' ... totally!*

A new housing development with a fresh ploughed farm fieldin the foreground (it won't be there long) . Developers have probably realized after the fact the Greenbelt fiasco has turned to their benefit in the long run.

@mike One man’s opinion….. I don’t think Carney needed to throw out sound bites or match the #PP slick slogan, glib pronouncements attitude. Informed and concerned Canadians know the dangers facing us and recognize that Carney has the presence, the intellect and the experience to see us through this. He has also demonstrated his ability to stand up to #donald without the need for a #DougFord bully stance or the #PP and #ABDanielleSmith kowtowing. #VoterApathy is the danger.
