I’ve been wanting to convert my <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/WordPress" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WordPress</span></a> website to a Python based framework or <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/CMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CMS</span></a>. After much searching I found <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Wagtail" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Wagtail</span></a> which sits on top of <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Django" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Django</span></a>. There are a couple of packages that will import WordPress <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/XML" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>XML</span></a> exports. </p><p>My introduction to Python was through <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Zope" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Zope</span></a> and later <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Plone" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Plone</span></a>. Then I discovered <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/DjangoProject" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DjangoProject</span></a>.</p><p>My biggest issue for is importing hierarchical Categories and Tags. That seems doable. I’ve work out a lot of details. Just need to do it.</p>
