Henri HornAnother rock cavern (40.000 cubic meters) to accommodate a <a href="https://mastodon.energy/tags/HeatPump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HeatPump</a> constructed in Eira, a high-end residential district in Helsinki, 90 MWth <a href="https://mastodon.energy/tags/DistrictHeating" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DistrictHeating</a> + 60MWth <a href="https://mastodon.energy/tags/DistrictCooling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DistrictCooling</a>. This one is smaller than the nearby <a href="https://mastodon.energy/tags/KatriVala" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#KatriVala</a> heat pump station (126MWth+80MWth). Both use waste water as thermal heat source, but Eira can also use 30MWe direct electrical heating when power is cheap and waste water temperature low.
