Andrew Kuchling<p>A busy day of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/boardGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>boardGames</span></a> on Saturday: </p><p>* a library session in the morning where I taught a table to play <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/Spellbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spellbook</span></a>, but forgot an important rule. (This is why I try to review rules beforehand; I didn't manage it this time!)</p><p>* two filler games of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/Trio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trio</span></a> to close out the session</p><p>* back home, game 8 of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/ClankLegacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClankLegacy</span></a> 2. Not a great session for me: I repeatedly had turns where I got nothing done except buying a card.</p><p>* a fairly long game of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/MysticVale" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MysticVale</span></a>. It ran long because none of us were getting point tokens very often -- the game clock is a fixed-size pool of points that triggers game end once they've all been collected.</p><p>* a disastrous game of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/Daybreak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Daybreak</span></a>. I played as Europe and despite reducing my use of dirty energy, I made little progress on reducing my CO₂ emissions until round 5. We collectively got lots of communities in crisis and never reached drawdown.</p>
