It was meant to be lower effort palette cleanser after <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/CurseOfStrahd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CurseOfStrahd</span></a> and I was able to get my son to join which was nice. But man did it fall flat at times. My idea of running it like a self aware cartoon was neat but I really failed to deliver. Blame post-covid slowness of the wit. I prefer Paizo to the coastly wizards, but it's an excuse to roll dice. </p><p>I met all the players tonight, they seem both experienced and accommodating, and we got through Session 0 and character creation. We agreed to start at third level, and skip the intro adventure, since 3/4 of them had run through it before with other false start games, replacing it with narration.</p><p>We'll meet second and fourth Fridays, with possible in between on a case by case basis.</p><p>I'm going ahead with planning, prepping, and quite a bit of reading ahead.</p>
