Jones died Wednesday night at a hospital in #RanchoMirage, #California, after battling #leukemia for more than two years, according to a statement from his manager, Milt Suchin.

Cousteau is one of those bands that seems to aspire to nothing more substantial than beautiful, even luxurious pop craftsmanship, to such a degree that it becomes art - think late-stage #RoxyMusic; to me, they've always felt like #TheStyleCouncil fronted by pop #crooner era #DavidBowie.
They formed in 1998, then after releasing a couple more albums, they split in 2005. In 2016 they re-formed and have released two more albums since, but their eponymous debut album and this, the lead single, are still my favorites, perhaps victims of their own perfection, because I find them so satisfying, I’ve never felt the need to seek more.

"Fallen Angels" by #Dylan. An album of cover songs, American jazz/pop standards. Stylewise reminds me of Neil Young album "Storytone". While the material and #crooner style is not instantly what you would expect from Dylan; well, he's a master of re-use and leaning on tradition has been always important. Great simple production, mostly acoustic, the #CD sounds sweet. A nice late-night album.
