IrgndSonDeppI'm listening to the latest Watch out for Fireballs episode about Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge and now I want to play some C&C. I've never been much into RTS games, but something about C&C was different. Maybe it's just simpler than other RTS games. Where I quickly ran out of steam with things like Age of Empires and StarCraft, C&C got it's hooks into me. One of the few games that I actually ended up "training" for and playing multiplayer online. My favorite remains C&C 3: Tiberium Wars together with Kane's Wrath. 🤩 I didn't play all of them by far, but I do remember playing the first one, Tiberian Dawn. I still remember how I beat the final GDI mission in that. It was brutally hard. The enemy had two bases, one of which was located in an agressive forwards position, with assaults battering your base almost from the start. And of course the enemy was cheating and quickly outpaced my resource gathering. I eventually managed to build up a massive army of tanks to roll into the enemy's forwards base. I took out all defenses and units to quiet things down. But whenever I destroyed any of the buildings, the enemy put a replacement there within seconds. But... the CPU always put the buildings in the exact some spot. 🤔 So whenever I took out a building, I moved one of my tanks into the spot where it stood to prevent the CPU from rebuilding. 😅 Once I had replaced my lost units, it was easy to wear down the enemy's main base. They had "infinite" money, but nothing left to put it into. They ran into the max unit cap and once I rolled into the main base I was powerful enough to take out units and buildings quicker than they could be replaced.<a href="https://gts.da-miez.de/tags/commandandconquer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CommandAndConquer</a> <a href="https://gts.da-miez.de/tags/shareyourgames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ShareYourGames</a>
