Madame XimonI created this piece of artwork around the Mercury cazimi in Virgo on September 13th. Mercury and the Sun were conjoining the Lunar South Node and the TNO Orcus, named for an Etruscan underworld god. The cazimi was also square the asteroid Hanuman - hence, the gorilla-like appearance of the Orcus statue with a geode in his mouth behind the figure of Sister Thea Bowman, one of six Black Americans who have been put up for canonization. I put her in the colours most commonly associated with the Virgin Mary to reflect the purifying light of the Mercury cazimi in Virgo helping us to go deep to see into our shadow and face our fears.
