Those entrusted with leadership in the #church should not be prone to anger or violent outbursts (Titus 1:6). #Chrysostom likens this to a doctor who hits his patients.
"The teacher is the physician of souls. But the physician does not strike. Rather he heals and restores any who might strike him."
A doctor who beats his/her patients is disqualified from their work of healing. The same is true of a minister who strikes the flock of Christ.
