Your mention of tumor caught my attention. Look up Chiari malformation. Read everything about it and ignore the statements that say it only happens with trauma. There is a phenomenon that happens with EDS where brain tissue isn't strong enough to support it's self. You will *never* see this in a regular MRI machine (for EDS) because when you lay down gravity quits doing it's thing. If you get an open MRI where you sit during the scan you may find a herniation and this will block CSF flow and create, among other things, cranial pressure. For me they found a 2.5mm herniation and the cut off is 3mm so I technically don't have Chiari but we know this is the cause of many of my symptoms. Diamox ER twice a day is a godsend to me. As for my official diagnosis it's "pseudo-tumor" but knowing the cause is very helpful. #EhlersDanlos #Chiari

@elisol for the longest time I thought mine were related to my having decompression surgery for #chiarimalformarion. However, last year I was finally diagnosed with migraines and have had some luck with preventative and reactive medications in managing the pain.

Prior to diagnosis, I would try a hot shower, then an ice pack, then sleep if it hit (or lasted) in the evening. Focusing the temperature on the impacted area, typically the base of my skull. Other times, I would simply need to eat something carb heavy, which in my area meant toast. Spicy food helped early on before and after my #chiari diagnosis. Any excuse for some Tex-Mex.

Rarely do I reach for an ice pack these days. Hope you get some relief.

Just watched on BBC Two, featuring some neurosurgery for at one of the amazing hospitals in Leeds. Had the same operation 26 years ago at King's College Hospital, London, under a consultant from Guy's. Brought it all back.
