I have a question.</p><p>There's stuff being sold as "Magnesium oil spray" for topical use on humans, with the allegedly complete list of ingredients: </p><p> • Water <br> • Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate</p><p>And that's it.</p><p>Is Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate an oil? The internet says it is a water soluble compound, strongly suggesting it is not. Is there some sense of the word "oil" that encompasses H2O? </p><p>Is there any sense in which this product, barring an unlisted oil and presumably also an emulsifier given the water, is actually an oil?</p>
