With our abundance of flat prairie and not-too-dispersed population centers, shouldn't it be possible to similarly have a <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/MeshNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MeshNetwork</a> with good coverage by linking mid-sized towns and cities throughout the region? Costs a buck.* 8 pages* Front page headlines: "Frigid temps cause concerns"; an article about a local restaurant winning a local holiday competition; "City approves annual audit"; an announcement about a statewide scholarship opportunity through the Illinois Sheriffs' Association. The front page also lists all of the paper's included obits by name.* p. 2 - 3: obituaries. Yes, two of the 8 pages are obituaries. 8 obits altogether. This is our first big snow on our property! We've probably had 10-ish inches but hard to judge with the wind. We're rural but plows have come through a few times, surprisingly, so our road doesn't look bad. The main road we connect to, though, would not be pleasant right now. Xavier 🌻Trip to Bloomington/Normal with my friend went well today! :BlobCat_Hug: The drive was pleasant. 🍁🍂🌾 I'm hoping the pretty fall weather will hold out for another week so my wife can enjoy it once she arrives to the US. 🇺🇸🦅Stopped at The Coffeehouse ☕️ and had the best pumpkin chai latte of my life. They had a lot more vegan food options than when I went last year, which was super cool; I chose some banana bread.Walked around for awhile checking out record stores and some bits-and-bobs shops, then headed back home. I picked up a Spiderland CD. I lost my old copy in a car accident last year when I lost all my fave CD albums. 💿Don't have much cash right now but I'm definitely gonna go back for an afternoon date with my wife and budget accordingly. I died when I saw a proper made in the UK yellow teapot, among other knick knacks. I am fairly far to the left, politically.
