Studio Ghibli's "Castle in the Sky" is a captivating tale of adventure and discovery. The concept of a floating city, a marvel of technology merged with nature, aligns intriguingly with futuristic ideals.

It shows humans' imaginative capabilities and their desire for exploration and unity—themes that resonate with the IWH. This anime not only entertains but also serves as a reflection on societal values.

A lovely piece of art indeed!

Ever seen a creature with scales made of bamboo?
This fantastical beast is the "Bamboo Scales," dreamt up by legendary director Hayao Miyazaki.

🎍🎍🎍

It's a recurring character, popping up in his storyboards for "Shuna's Journey" novel and even making cameos in iconic films like "Nausicaä," "Castle in the Sky," and "Princess Mononoke"!

It’s Miyazaki week at our house! Tonight we’re watching #CastleInTheSky (aka Laputa). A man in our neighborhood made a Laputian robot over 3m tall: it stands in his front yard among flowers and a bench. When we visited Wales, we went to Caerphilly Castle , we saw the pigeons soar around the mists just as the birds did when Pazu played his trumpet. There we also saw old miners’ houses alongside the walls of the coal mines. ghiblicollection.com/pages/fil

In Studio Ghibli movies, food is often used to represent love, care, and friendship. In these scenes, we see characters sharing their food with others, whether it be a simple meal or a feast.

These scenes show us that food is more than just nourishment. It can be a way to show our love and appreciation for the people we care about.
