DORO<p>I wouldn’t say <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BunnyLakeIsMissing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BunnyLakeIsMissing</span></a> is <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/OttoPreminger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OttoPreminger</span></a>’s best film - it’s hard to beat <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AnatomyOfAMurder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnatomyOfAMurder</span></a> -, but it’s his film that’s closest to my heart. A woman reports her young daughter missing, but there seems to be no evidence that the daughter ever existed. The film is so far ahead of its time. Masterfully directed by Preminger, with outstanding performances by <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CarolLynley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CarolLynley</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LaurenceOlivier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LaurenceOlivier</span></a>. - <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CineMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CineMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FilmMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FilmMastodon</span></a></p>
d4doome<p>Otto Preminger’s Bunny Lake Is Missing (1965) starts as a straightforward police procedural about a missing child. The first subtle signs of oddness soon appear. It keeps getting stranger until finally it becomes quite bizarre.</p><p>My review: <a href="https://dfordoom-movieramblings.blogspot.com/2011/11/bunny-lake-is-missing-1965.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">dfordoom-movieramblings.blogsp</span><span class="invisible">ot.com/2011/11/bunny-lake-is-missing-1965.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/classicmovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>classicmovies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/classicmovie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>classicmovie</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/1960smovie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>1960smovie</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/OttoPreminger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OttoPreminger</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/KeirDullea" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KeirDullea</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/CarolLynley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CarolLynley</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/LaurenceOlivier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LaurenceOlivier</span></a></p>

d4doome<p>The Shuttered Room (1967) is a Lovecraftian horror film and they're surprisingly rare. It might not be pure Lovecraftian horror but it at least manages a somewhat Lovecraftian feel, and it's thoroughly enjoyable, stylish and creepy. </p><p>Oliver Reed is one of the stars - always a plus. And he plays a wild rather crazed young man.</p><p>My review: <a href="https://princeplanetmovies.blogspot.com/2023/01/the-shuttered-room-1967.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">princeplanetmovies.blogspot.co</span><span class="invisible">m/2023/01/the-shuttered-room-1967.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/OliverReed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OliverReed</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/CarolLynley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CarolLynley</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/horrormovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>horrormovies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/classichorror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>classichorror</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/cultmovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cultmovies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/cultmovie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cultmovie</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/60smovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>60smovies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/hplovecraft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hplovecraft</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/AugustDerleth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AugustDerleth</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/lovecraft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lovecraft</span></a></p>
