chris actual<p>Man I really like the look of the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/camelback" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>camelback</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/podium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>podium</span></a> water bottles, but after using them for about a year, I'm really considering moving back to 'regular' bidons. The Podiums are just too impossible to keep clean. It's difficult to get through all the bits of that convoluted valve system to clean all the gunk out. Is this a me problem or does this sound familiar to any other Podium users out there?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/bikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bikes</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/cycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cycling</span></a></p>
Judy Olo 🚫⚠️kakistocracy🌊<p>When I was a kid, Grandma lived in the back part of an old <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/camelback" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>camelback</span></a> house on <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Carondelet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Carondelet</span></a> St. You'd walk along the side, a brick walkway, back to the tiny yard. There was an old above ground fish pond. Going in the back door to the kitchen. In the middle of the house, shared between front and back, was the bathroom. Huge old clawfoot tub. 😊</p>
Hebrew by Inbal<p>In singular, /ga-'mal/ גָּמָל, and in plural /g-ma-'leem/ גְּמַלִּים, these animals were in ancient times a vital part of life in the Middle East, including in parts of Israel.</p><p>These resilient animals were essential for long journeys across arid landscapes, valued for their ability to carry heavy loads and travel long distances without water.</p><p>Today, you're more likely to find cars and buses on the roads of Israel than camels.</p><p><a href="https://babka.social/tags/camels" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>camels</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/middleeast" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>middleeast</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/transportation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>transportation</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/israel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>israel</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/camelback" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>camelback</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/hebrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hebrew</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/languages" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>languages</span></a></p>
Kat Kimbriel<p>Note that if you are using hashtags in the main body of the comment, <a href="https://raggedfeathers.com/tags/CamelBack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CamelBack</span></a> <br> tags can be read by many readers (or so the kind folks at Mastodon have shared about their readers). </p><p>So when using them, be sure to make them InitialCap or they will melt into gibbrish, too.</p>

Maria Karlsen@<a href="https://pony.social/@mikemol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mike Mol</a> CamelBack is when you use capital letters to be able to distinguish the different words in a multiword hashtag. That is needed for screenreaders. Like #<a class="" href="https://zotum.net/search?tag=CamelBack" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CamelBack</a> #<a class="" href="https://zotum.net/search?tag=NewHere" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">NewHere</a> #<a class="" href="https://zotum.net/search?tag=MastodonIsNotTheFediverse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">MastodonIsNotTheFediverse</a> for example.
