I was somewhat surprised that the Kyoto International Manga Museum uses a regular office scanner/printer/copier to scan books. It’s a good thing I brought along my own handmade scanning frame. I got much better results with that and my iPhone than they did with their copier. I recommended that they invest in a proper archival quality book scanner. The person who helped me wasn’t even aware that such scanners existed. She was amazed by the results I got with my little foam-board gadget and #CamScanner. #archiving #libraries #manga
