Private #fostercare agencies in CA want us to believe if lack of insurance drives them out of business there will be an insurance-induced rapture, all their foster parents will vanish and the kids will be out on the streets. But it’s all BS because they want immunity from lawsuits by #childabuse victims. witnessla.com/dont-shield-priv #childwelfare #FFAs #CALeg, #capolitics

Was just thinking about how disappointing it's been that no Democrats have really pushed back on the arbitrary new return to office policy Gov. Newsom laid down. I don't know if Hoover, a Republican, actually gives a shit about CO2 emissions from commuting, or if he sees an opportunity to pick up some suburban state worker votes, or if he's just trolling. But I'll take it.

California (#CALeg) Senate’s Energy Committee and Appropriations Committee have rewritten SB-1413.

Originally filed to #DitchDST, #DitchTheSwitch, and restore permanent Standard Time, in 2024, at no cost—it would now only *study* Daylight Saving Time, in 2027, for $600,000.

California’s rewritten SB-1413 would only study energy effects of DST—while ignoring health, safety, education, and productivity.

DST has already been studied hundreds of times. It does not save energy. Even if it did, it would not justify its many greater harms to public well-being.

Please contact California Senate leadership, ask them to restore SB-1413’s original wording. 👉 senate.ca.gov/senators/senate-

Also contact your own state senator, tell him/her to support permanent Standard Time. 👉 findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov
