Wow, the final number in Busby Berkeley's 1943 "The Gang's All Here" is more psychedelic than 2001: A Space Odyssey. And the earlier infamous "Giant Banana" number featuring Carmen Miranda is like some sort of South America meets Dali fever dream. Plus, Benny Goodman! My eyes were riveted to the screen from beginning to end.
