Budapest, 1949. Today, 6 May, marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Cardinal Mindszenty, the arch-conservative and staunchly anti-Communist Hungarian cardinal, shown here at his show trial, before his inevitable imprisonment. A special Mass, marking this anniversary of his death, is to be held at the beginning of the conclave in Rome.

“I’m just here as a business guy, but as someone who understands how the world works,” [right] Jr told an exec from…the org that sponsored the event, adding that while he was in #EasternEurope & the Balkans he was looking for new deals. “You never know if there is going to be a #Trump #RealEstate deal.”

Good morning 🇦🇹 #Wien / #Vienna 🤩 !

The night train trip in the :cfr: :kb_bett: IRN #Dacia wagon-lits was excellent. We arrived just on time. After a quick shower, I sadly didn't have enough time left for breakfast in the #SleeperAndEater @diningcar - btw. one of the few night trains with different dining cars on different sections of the journey : a :cfr: CFR bistro carriage between 🇷🇴 #București / #Bucharest and 🇷🇴 #Arad and a :mav: MÁV @diningcar between 🇭🇺 #Budapest and 🇦🇹 #Wien / #Vienna.

Now time to grab some snacks in Vienna main station before boarding my :db: :de_ice: bringing me to my first destination for today : 🇩🇪 #Nürnberg / #Nuremberg .

Budapest je mesto sôch. Sú po celom meste, sú nečakané a rôzne. Boli sme pozrieť sochu poručíka a zrazu sme sa nečakane ocitli na mieste činu. Veverička ako obeť pouličnej prestrelky. Vzhľadom na prebiehajúce vyšetrovanie nie je možné v tejto chvíli zverejniť ďalšie detaily.

(Vôbec by som to miesto nevšimol, keby tam nebola iná skupina ľudí, ktorá sa skláňala k zemi a fotila.)
