40 years ago this week, "Sussudio" by #PhilCollins reached the top spot, replacing "Heaven" by #BryanAdams after two weeks. Collins said that Sussudio was a nonsense word he made up to match the rhythm he'd composed on a drum machine, and he planned to replace it later. Then he never found anything better. Sounds similar to the story of the "Sesame Street" theme lyrics. youtube.com/watch?v=r0qBaBb1Y- #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

"Run to You" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter #BryanAdams. It was released in 1984 as the lead single from his fourth album, #Reckless (1984). The track deals with the subject of #infidelity, and is sung from the perspective of a man who declares that he will continue to "run to" his seductive #mistress over his faithful partner; critic Ira Robbins for #CMJ called it a "cheating classic". In the accompanying music video, however.

40 years ago this week, "Heaven" by #BryanAdams reached the top spot, replacing "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by #TearsForFears after 2 weeks. Although you see the Stanley theatre's sign in the video, the performance is in the Orpheum, a different theatre in Bryan's (and my) hometown of Vancouver. I guess they combined the prettier sign with the prettier interior. youtube.com/watch?v=s6TtwR2Dbj #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

"Heaven" is a song by the Canadian singer and songwriter #BryanAdams recorded in 1983, written by Adams and #JimVallance. It first appeared on the #ANightInHeaven soundtrack album the same year and was later included on Adams' album #Reckless in 1984. It was released as the third single from Reckless and reached number one on the U.S. #Billboard Hot 100 in June 1985, over a year and a half after the song first appeared on record.
