We did a #road and #rail #trip from #Saskatchewan through #Alberta to #BritishColumbia, it was 4,761 km. Or Lisbon to Vienna to Stockholm. #Canada is an amazing country because you can travel to so many amazing #nations and #experience so many #cultures within it.
We travel in and through at least 18 #FirstNations lands, some #treaty, some #unceded. Check out native-land.ca/ to see more traditional homelands of #indigenous people.

Kudos to Canadian bike advocates sharing helpful resources, in particular: Thanks to BC Bike Coalition bccycling.ca/bike-valet-explai and their bike valet tool kit bccycling.ca/bike-valet-toolki, we found Capital Bike capitalbike.ca/the-locker-tool and their bike event parking / bike valet templates, etc.

Monterey County is among the many regions that have had bike valet parking bikemonterey.org/tips-for-tour at some events, but not nearly enough. (It isn’t feasible that the most frequent valet provider for many years simply can’t do it all.) We’d love to see more people providing bike valet parking here—and chances are many of you have the same need in your region.

Save yourself some time; check out those resources from generous bike advocates in Canada!

"Three workers are trapped more than 500 metres underground in a northern B.C. mine after multiple collapses blocked an access route."

"The first ground collapse at Red Chris gold and copper mine – located near Dease Lake, close to the Alaska-British Columbia border – happened on Tuesday morning and forced the miners to escape to a designated refuge station."

I love abstract in photography. I always look for abstract compositions in nature. This weekend was bright and sunny and the tide was low when we arrived at the beach. It was the perfect combination for this type of images.

When people look at some of my photos, they think that they are paintings and have to take a closer look. I did oil painting for 20 years.
