Last thought on #airplane travel: we’ve done 3 trips in the last 2years and I think the standard of on board food and comfort has gone down. I suspect (though haven’t been able to afford) that premium economy or above is likely the only decent level of travel, cattle class is just that, it’s not fun. This is only really based on #BritishAirways not other airlines.

That said though, given the number of airlines and cut-throat pricing I suspect it’s all going down hill. I’m not even sure if airline travel is sustainable.

So, #BritishAirways support sucks big time. No actual numbers to call locally despite them clearly having planes arriving and departing from #Sydney international airport.

They have a chatbot which is utterly terrible - well unless their aim in using it is to boot people
away without helping anyone!

Massive queue to speak to a real agent (took maybe 20mins) and they were unhelpful, eventually got an email address for the ground crew.

I think everything is profit driven and there is no real belief in customer service at all.

Jet lag fucking sucks! We arrived in Sydney yesterday and had a busy day (left my daughter’s iPad on the plane ✈️! Thankfully got it back after nightmare of trying to get in touch with company managing #BritishAirways ground support - BA support sucks, more in separate toot)

Anyway, slept from 14:30 to 21:30 local time then we did about 2hrs of awake time and then slept from 00:00 until about 05:00 … thought that would be enough, had plans … went for breakfast and then we both felt ill/tried!

We’ve retired to hotel room to chill and maybe doze. Might venture out later today and try another reset of body clock!

OY-NCN, Dornier DO-328JET-310, SunAir of Scandinavia but operating in British Airways livery, taking off on one of several daily flights to Billund in Demark from Runway 23 Right at Manchester Airport, 24th August 2015, as seen from the Runway Viewing Park.
This is oddly the only regularly scheduled international route from Manchester operated in British Airways colours (and, in fact, the only route not involving Heathrow!), and it's about the only place I would choose to fly with BA, partly because I think these planes are fun and interesting, but mostly because Billund is the home of Lego, and I'm a massive fan!
