When people refer to homosexual relationships as a lifestyle, that’s like me summing up… SUMMING UP their feelings and relationship they have toward the person they married as “a person they fancy”….
The sun total of their relationship… a person they fancy.

It’s much deeper than that.

Again, some people indirectly belittle themselves all the time smh 🤦🏿‍♀️

I'm desperately looking for a #breeder of #grosbeaks in the area ~500 km around Antwerp (Belgium/Netherlands/Germany/France). Could be Chinese grosbeak, collared grosbeak, hooded grosbeak, evening grosbeak, Japanese grosbeak, or hawfinch.
I already contacted several breeders from the list of the ICC e.V., but this list seems to be really outdated. Only negative responses to far.
Please let me know if you know someone (who knows someone...). I need these #birds for my #PhD research!

#twitterinvestor and #embattled #lifeform #breeder Elon Musk (aka "Cyrano") continues to shore up efforts to proclaim his universal acclaim the being the best at the #Federation #FreeMarket.

Mr. Musk could not be reached for comment after the latest market developments. Whereabouts remain unknown. 🤔

In related news, #FediNews24th now breaks with this news from the tribble futures market...

Still hard to #Believe #OTD David Austin, #Rose #Breeder & #Writer, died.

After David passed, I found some of his #Advertisements from 1973.
By that time, David had worked with #Roses for 12 years.
His first commercially available Rose was the #Constance #Spry (#Florist #Legend)

One ad read:

#OldFashioned roses, #Shrub roses, #Rare & #Unusual roses, many of our own #Breeding.
Roses of #Charm & #Fragrance. The country's #Finest #Collection.
"A #Handbook of Roses" #Free.

#OTD Victor #Lemoine, #French #Flower #Breeder, died.

Incredibly, Lemoine didn't start working on #Lilacs - his #Greatest #Legacy - until he was almost 50. He made them #Bloom earlier & later, expanded the #Color, & grew the first #Double #Lilac.

His #Wife, Marie, #HandPollinated thousands of Lilac #Flowers.

When the Lemoine #Nursery closed in 1968, the Lemoine's had bred 214 new #Cultivars of
Lilac.

#OTD Victor #Lemoine, #French #Flower #Breeder, died.

The Lemoine #Nursery in #Nancy, #France survived 3 #Generations.

We owe a #Debt of #Gratitude to Victor for enhancing so many #Flowers in our #Gardens:

#Lilac, #MockOrange, #Phlox, #Peony, #Gladiola,
#TuberousBegonia, & #Deutzia.

His double-#Blossomed #Geranium was Gloire de Nancy. He #Bred a #Peony that could take a #Winter #Freeze & many #Gorgeous Peony #Creations.

#OTD Karl Forster, #German #Plant #Breeder, died.

At 18, he took over his family's Berlin nursery, which was a mess.

Karl #Streamlined the #Business by #Simplifying his #Plant inventory. He was especially drawn to #Tough, #LowMaintenance, #Hardy #Perennials.

Karl used 3 factors to determine whether a plant would be sold in his #Nursery: #Beauty, #Resilience, & #Endurance.

Karl once wrote,
"A #Garden without #Phlox is not only a sheer mistake but a #Sin against #Summer."

#OTD Death of Karl #Foerster, #German #Plant #Breeder.

He spied his #Famous #Grass along the tracks & pulled the emergency brake on a #Train to get the specimen.

Karl Forster Grass was #Perennial #Plant of the Year in 2001.

Karl lived to be 96. He spent nearly nine decades #Gardening.
He once said,

"In my next #Life, I'd like to be a #Gardener once again.
The job was too big for just one #Lifetime."

#OTD Birth of Albert Etter, American #Plantsman & #Plant #Breeder.

Today, people are trying to find & save #Etter #Apple #Trees.

His #Surprise Apple, from #Kazakhstan, had #Pink flesh.

At 21, Albert got 640 acres of free #Land (#Ettersburg) & shared his tip to #Maximize the land:

"How many is 15,000 apple trees?
Planted 30 feet apart, a row of 15,000 would cover 35 miles.

But the #Seedlings I grow, are top-grafted on large trees, sometimes 200-300 on a single #Tree."

#OTD Rudolph Boysen, #Plant #Hybridizer, died.
On one #June #Morning, he found a new #Fruit on his #Plants - the #Boysenberry (a cross between the #Loganberry, #Raspberry, & #Blackberry).
The grower, Walter Knott, acquired the #Berry & named the plant in Rudy's honor. #Knott made an empire for himself with the proceeds - establishing Knott's Berry #Farm.
Rudolph Boysen never earned a dime from the Boysenberry.
