Last night The Ferrymen had to sneak out of Crow's Foot after smuggling in supplies for an ally.

They made their way through an old mine off-shoot known as "Works of Ash" where coal dust fell like rain and the spirits of the dead were becoming more and more active

I used Ironsworn Delve to chart the mine's passage and perils

The Widening Gyre (Blades in the Dark Setting)

I’ve been running a Blades in the Dark game for about a year. But I didn’t want to run it in London and I instead wanted to talk about Australia and our Victorian history and things that were closer to my bones. To aid that, I made up a world.

Below the fold is twelve thousand plus words of me talking about a made up fantasy country modelled on Australia’s history for playing in Blades in the Dark. It has no mechanical information, just world information, and discusses ways to regard factions and history.

I cannot make it clear enough that below this fold there is a very large post and you may not find it interesting.

Ready?

Okay.

Blades in the Dark Report:
We're flying a Stealth Hydrogen Balloon over Ironhook Prison to break out our Patron
But his ex-employers have sent agents to stop us. Our Cutter and Lurk are holding them off
The balloon is under attack by Smoke Sprites, corroding the sparktek engine and threatening to ignite the Hydrogen tanks
Our Whisper and Leech are holding them off
Our Hound is looking for targets.
Tune in next week to find out if we plummet to our doom!

Blades in the Dark Session Report:
Under the guise of being flunkies to Marquis Cardamon Pertwee, potential heir to the late Lord Strangford, we snuck into the the Reserved Areas of Strangford House, to interrogate the Forgotten God guarding the Lord's Journals.
We managed to swap some information, but decided not to push our luck too far. It was asking some very searching questions.

But we managed to steal some silverware and a fancy ashtray on the way out!

GOING LIVE! Tonight we're going to spin up a test matrix server, instead of testing on my production instance, and then we're goign to fix up my bot to be less _absolutely terrible_ at being a bot!

Side note: If you just wanna put me up in the background and tune out, I'm totally okay with that. I'm listening to some nice, delightful royalty free Pokemon-inspired music, and I've been told I have a face for radio.

Post Script: Did I mention it's a #TTRPG bot for running text-only #DCCRPG and #BladesInTheDark campaigns?

Tonight the Ferrymen return to Doskvol ... just as the Jinn's latest score kicks off and boy was it a doozy!

The Jinn summoned a demon, stole very important bell, basically changed the very fabric of the city !!!

We'll see how the Ferrymen manage in the chaos that follows

Blades in the Dark Session Report:
A simple heist - infiltrate the Supply Warehouse, poison the Cheese so that the crew of the salvage ship are struck down with "The Green Curse"!.
All goes well, until the *real* curse arrives - a half-form Tycherosi demon-engine, hungry to be made flesh!
I forced it back into slumber... for now... but it has my scent...

Ran my first session zero for Blades in the Dark last night, and proceeded to reflexively not follow so much of the advice in the book. It was still fun, and didn't ruin anything-we're doing an out-of-cycle game to finish up the first score. But wow, are traditional RPG habits hard to break.
