I wonder if there is a light leak in the bellows. Or could some smudge on the lens cause this? I see this consistently in the pictures towards the end of the roll, but not before that, so something happened. I've been thinking a bit about what the quality difference between box cameras and a "real" camera like this is. I think overall I get more *consistently* better results because exposure can be set to just what it needs to be. 14missionI've been wanting to take film pictures of my cats for a long time, but the old box cameras I've mostly been using focus at 10', so I couldn't really take proper portraits of them. I got a snap-on close-up lens for the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Duaflex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Duaflex</a>, and with that, the focus is at 3', which is just about right. That's how I took the first two pictures. The second pair are from a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Voigtl%C3%A4nder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Voigtländer</a> bellows camera, my first "respectable" <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MediumFormat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MediumFormat</a> camera, which lets you focus and adjust speed and aperture. You *can* make that kind of adjustments on box cameras, thought it's pretty primitive--though I kind of like that. This adapter allows you to connect your digital camera with a lens mount (required) to a folding plate or bellows camera. Until now, these beautiful old cameras were often just display pieces in cabinets. Imagine how wonderful it would be to take this camera out, go to a beautiful location, and take pictures again. That’s exactly what we thought too. Inspired by Hasselblad, who created a Digital Back to bring old analog cameras into the 21st century, we wanted something similar for our vintage cameras. After six months of intense development, we've perfected the adapter. We currently offer this adapter for Micro Four Thirds, Samsung NX, Sony E-Mount (NEX), and Canon EF mounts. More mounts will follow, but we insist on testing each adapter thoroughly by purchasing a camera from the corresponding series and developing the adapter directly on that camera. This product represents true circular economy and is entirely made in Germany. The photo plate is milled, laser-cut, stained, and finished with real leather here on site.
