MissConstrue
So, when something crosses my desk with my insurance company's name on it, I open it.
It was another sales pitch from #HingeHealth, and it triggered every one of my "scam" alarm bells, except it was on #BCBS letterhead.
Nope, it's a scam. They tell *you* it's free...they don't tell you they bill your insurance company $350 every time you talk to an app's "physical therapist". And you're supposed to check in weekly. Oh, and you can only have one hurty part. Those of us who have lived exciting lives in many casts, not so much. Heh.
This is why medical care is so expensive. I don't know how much BCBS got to sell my data. I don't know how much they expect to gain from paying this scammy sales firm.

Why the hell are insurance companies allowed to sell user data at all?

It took several dozens of hours on the phone, gathering data and finally writing the grievance in exactly the right way.
Anthem had failed to pay any of my spouse’s medical bills in 2024 due to errors in their own files and processes. Thankfully, her providers did not send us to collection for the debts or withhold care. It helped that we paid them 10% and kept them informed. 🎯🎉🍾

cobalt going beige today
So what a surprise that the blood pressure monitor is defective. First clue: something maybe the size and weight of a marble is rattling around loose on the inside. It turns on, but the error message comes up immediately and you can’t set time or date. Batteries from China are Heavy Duty Bursto Batteries expired 12/24. I think I’ll learn how to make a complaint, ungrateful person that I am. I only got this because the one I bought myself is too twitchy. #Insurance #BCBS #Medicare
