Erik van Straten<p>@whose_nose@dresden.network : I looked up "Bodi" in the online Auschwitz victims database [1] and found zero matches.</p><p>Note: my grandfather (born 1900) was a Jew. He survived WWII but his family was murdered by Nazis.</p><p>You will not get any answer out of Auschwitz here. You're replying to a toot in an automated channel. The Auschwitz maintainers don't read any comments or questions here, for multiple reasons:</p><p>1) Too many responses like "poor girl, we'll remember you";</p><p>2) Plain spam "comments" (most of their followers are spammers with zero followers themselves, see [2]);</p><p>3) The current Auschwitz maintainers don't care about Holocaust victims. They preferably broadcast toots with pre-encampment photo's of young and/or western European Jews (all Roma and Sinti toots are without photo's).</p><p>They do that because they want viewers to pity Jews who live *now*, in Israel in particular. It's called <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Hasbara" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hasbara</span></a>. From the bottom of <a href="https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw</span><span class="invisible">itz-council/</span></a>:<br>❝<br>Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism.<br>❞</p><p>So here we have maintainers of a former concentration camp (where genocide took place) *NOT* condemning Israel for committing genocide - on the contrary.</p><p>Here's why: Avner Shalev is Auschwitz Council's Deputy Chairman (<a href="https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/iac-members/avner-shalev/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw</span><span class="invisible">itz-council/iac-members/avner-shalev/</span></a>). He served in the Israel Destruction Forces between 1956 and 1980.</p><p>The Auschwitz "victims" database is mostly empty and not aligned with the database they use for these toots. For example, "Ilona Beran" is not found in [1] (like "Bodi" is not).</p><p>Furthermore there are a lot of errors in their databases that can easily be corrected, but as I said, they don't care.</p><p>For example, in <a href="https://mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseum/113881802587314353" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu</span><span class="invisible">m/113881802587314353</span></a> not the photo of the less than 2 years old French "Doris Mireille Lewy" is shown, but of the much older Dutch "Rebecca Vijevano" born 25-01-1903 (with near zero details in [1]).</p><p>Note the comments under that toot, which was never corrected.</p><p>That Auschwitz "knows" about "Rebecca Vijevano" can be seen in <a href="https://x.com/AuschwitzMuseum/status/1750216981482004932" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">x.com/AuschwitzMuseum/status/1</span><span class="invisible">750216981482004932</span></a>.</p><p>It's a disgrace.</p><p>Previous toot in this series (of many): <a href="https://infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStraten/114229890234987961" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStrat</span><span class="invisible">en/114229890234987961</span></a> and in general regarding <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/NeverAgainJewsOnly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NeverAgainJewsOnly</span></a>: <a href="https://infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStraten/114211635672853873" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStrat</span><span class="invisible">en/114211635672853873</span></a>.</p><p>[1] <a href="https://victims.auschwitz.org/victims" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">victims.auschwitz.org/victims</span><span class="invisible"></span></a><br>[2] <a href="https://mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseum/followers" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu</span><span class="invisible">m/followers</span></a></p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Auschwitz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auschwitz</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/StephenKaposIsRight" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StephenKaposIsRight</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/FrancescaAlbaneseIsRight" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FrancescaAlbaneseIsRight</span></a></p>
