Via genre romance author Jackie Lau: May is #AsianHeritageMonth in Canada and #AAPIHeritageMonth in the US!

I've partnered with Kobo to create this list of 40+ romances by Asian authors (both ebook and audiobook!) that you can read with your Kobo Plus subscription.

Work reminds me it’s #AsianHeritageMonth again, so here’s a related nugget:

In Japanese, sometimes you call kids “gaki” (not exactly polite but not really considered a bad word). If you’ve watched anime or Japanese television shows, you’ve probably heard it.

Where does it come from? Most people probably don’t know.

May is #AsianHeritageMonth and it’s a great opportunity to recognize the many contributions of the diverse Asian community in Ontario and Canada.

Asians have faced multiple hardships in Canadian history from the racist policies turning away the Komagata Maru, Japanese internment camps or the Chinese Head Tax & Exclusion Act to the rise of Anti-Asian racism during SARS and COVID.

Let’s celebrate our heritage and honour the countless sacrifices of those who came before us.

祝大家亞太裔加拿大人傳統月快樂!

May is #AsianHeritageMonth

just a reminder to all the folks putting content out for Asian Heritage Month, without acknowledging the ongoing genocide being committed against Asian's.

#Palestine is in Asia. #Syria is in Asia. #Lebanon is in Asia.

If you are not talking about the genocide(s), please don't waste your time and ours, showing us your fake celebration of Asian Heritage.

If you care about our heritage, fight to keep it & us alive.
