He borrows heavily from Jacob Grimm, and I don't want to translate Norwegian which itself is translated from German. He also alters his sources to a degree, to suit his own purpose, a practice that deserves noting. This will mean that I have to grow much more familiar with Deutsche Mythologie, so that I can untangle Asbjørnsen's knots.</p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/AmTranslating" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AmTranslating</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/NorwegianLegends" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NorwegianLegends</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Folklore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Folklore</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/DeutscheMythologie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DeutscheMythologie</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Grimm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Grimm</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Asbj%C3%B8rnsen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Asbjørnsen</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/WildHunt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WildHunt</span></a></p>
