I have to admit that when I first heard Art Brut I immediately dismissed them as hipsters who were a million miles away from the DIY scene I was part of in London at the time.
Over time however, I started to really listen to Eddie Argos' brilliantly insightful lyrics and appreciated their take on garage rock.

Die schwarze Künstlerin bekam 1955 eine große Einzelausstellung im New Orleans Museum of Art. Sie selbst durfte das Museum offiziell nicht selbst betreten, aber ein Freund „schmuggelte“ sie hinein.

Em Pêro Pinheiro, encontra-se uma das mais curiosas instalações de arte bruta que conheço, as esculturas e mobiles criados com sucata por um serralheiro local. Ao ar livre e sem manutenção, a corrosão começa a fazer sentir-se, mas mantém-se o encanto naif desta arte criada com ferro velho. #artbrut
