A little #beforeandafter comparison, demonstrating my editing style/aesthetic. This shot was in B&W from the get-go: on the left is a straight out of camera JPEG version (created in camera, I set RAW and JPEG creation in tandem) of it that served as a proof for viewing, on the right is the end result after making adjustments in #lightrooom and #photoshop (don't remember exactly what I did but it was minimal, including lifting shadow/dark tones a bit). My experimentation with my new #MacroLens continues. Some things I’ve noticed are that: obviously it’s sensitive to small movements and so a steady hand and subject are needed and that the #DepthOfField is quite small. So, I think it’s better to switch to #AperturePriority mode rather than automatic so that I can select a higher #F-Stop to increase the depth. This means that the shutter speed goes down and so one still needs a steady hand or tripod.
